In an offline situation (or an intranet environment), please ensure that the dependent plugins (ms-vscode.cpptools, ms-vscode.vscode-serial-monitor) are already installed, otherwise the Beken plugin will not be able to activate.

If you are in a Win7 or a low version of VSCode environment and unable to install the latest version of Serial Monitor, you can try downloading the following older version of Serial Monitor for installation:

1. Obtain the Offline Installation File

  • Contact BEKEN to obtain the .vsix installation package.

  • Visit the plugin homepage: https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=beken-corp.vscode-beken-extension, click on Download Extension on the right to download the .vsix installation package.

2. Install the Extension

  • Open Visual Studio Code.

  • Select the “Extensions” icon on the left, or press Ctrl+Shift+X.

  • Click on the menu button (three dots) in the top right corner, then choose “Install from VSIX”.

  • Navigate to the location where you saved the offline installation file, select the file, and click “Install”.
